MEXC has a few deposit and withdrawal rules you rarely see elsewhere: deposits are credited in two stages, "pre-credited" and "credited successfully", and pre-credited funds can be traded but not withdrawn; some withdrawals only go out after you open a link sent by email or SMS and confirm the last four characters of the address; and recovering a wrong deposit freezes a service fee up front, which is released if recovery fails. This guide collects what MEXC's Help Center and official fee page state: withdrawal fees and minimums for USDT and BTC by network, memo rules, how wrong and unverified deposits are returned, the 24-hour locks tied to the whitelist and security changes, KYC withdrawal limits, and what fiat and P2P options look like for users in Taiwan. With code mexc-NOVA888, new MEXC users get a 50% fee rebate at Lv.1, 2.5 times the common 20% referral code. Deposits and withdrawals do not affect your rebate; details at the end.
Key points
- Deposits are free: the official fee page shows a deposit fee of 0 for every coin and network; you only pay the sender's network fee.
- Two-stage crediting: after the first confirmation threshold funds are pre-credited and tradable, but cannot be withdrawn, transferred or cashed out; after the second threshold they are credited successfully.
- Withdrawals may need a second confirmation: a link is sent by email or SMS, you confirm the last four characters of the address, and the link is valid for 15 minutes.
- After changing email or phone, or unlinking Google Authenticator: withdrawals are restricted for 24 hours.
- KYC withdrawal limits: 80 BTC per day with Primary KYC, 200 BTC per day with Advanced KYC.
- No TWD found on P2P: when checked on 2026-09-28, the official P2P fiat list did not include TWD; the list may change (details below).
Deposits: what pre-crediting means and where funds land
MEXC deposits pass two confirmation thresholds (official pre-crediting guide):
- Pre-crediting: once the transaction reaches the first number of confirmations, funds are credited for trading on MEXC, but cannot be withdrawn, transferred, used for fiat withdrawal, sent as gifts or moved between sub-accounts.
- Credited successfully: after additional confirmations, funds are fully credited and withdrawals and transfers work normally.
Not every network supports pre-crediting; if the deposit page no longer shows pre-crediting information, that network currently does not support it. Deposits flagged by risk controls are not pre-credited and are credited only after full confirmation (deposit status guide). The number of confirmations each network needs is shown on the deposit page; the Help Center does not publish a per-network table, so we do not guess one here.
Three more things before depositing (official deposit notes):
- Match the network: if you select ERC-20 on MEXC, the sender must use ERC-20 too; also check that the token contract address matches the one MEXC supports, because the token name alone is not enough.
- Below the minimum deposit, funds are not credited and cannot be refunded: minimums per coin are shown on the deposit page.
- You can deposit to Spot or Futures: once set, later deposits go to the same account by default, and funds that cannot go to Futures land in Spot. MEXC also warns against depositing via contract transfers, which may fail to credit (web deposit guide).
Memo/tag: one shared address for everyone
For coins such as XRP, ATOM, XLM and BTS, all MEXC users share the same deposit address and the system tells deposits apart only by memo/tag (official memo guide). If you send XRP, ATOM or similar coins with the address but no memo, the funds reach the shared address, not your account, and the only route is the recovery request below.
Withdrawal fees and minimums (USDT, BTC)
The table comes from the withdrawal fee data on MEXC's official fee page, checked on 2026-09-28:
| USDT network | Withdrawal fee (USDT) | Min withdrawal (USDT) |
|---|---|---|
| Tron (TRC20) | 0.5 | 2 |
| Ethereum (ERC20) | 0.094 | 8 |
| BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) | 0.01 | 0.2 |
| Solana | 0.18 | 10 |
| Arbitrum One | 0.05 | 1 |
| Polygon | 0.0065 | 5 |
| TON | 0.017 | 8 |
| Plasma | Free | 10 |
USDT is also available on Optimism, Avalanche C-Chain, Aptos, NEAR, CELO and other networks. For BTC, the Bitcoin mainnet withdrawal fee is 0.00002 with a minimum of 0.00008; the BEP20 version costs 0.00000025 with a minimum of 0.00002; Lightning costs 0.000001 with a minimum of 0.000004 (all in BTC).
MEXC's withdrawal fee guide explains that the fee covers the blockchain network cost and may be adjusted when the network is congested; the live rate on the withdrawal page is the accurate one, and the table only reflects what we saw on 2026-09-28. Withdrawals to another MEXC user's address are free and arrive quickly.
Deposited the wrong thing? Three return routes
| Situation | Where to apply | Review and timing | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unsupported coin or network, sent to the hot wallet address, missing or wrong memo, withdrawal from MEXC bounced back by another platform | Uncredited Crypto Deposit | Review in 1–2 days; an estimated completion time is shown after approval, complex cases can exceed 21 days | Service fee, not fixed |
| KYC not completed, deposit shows "Restricted" | Funding history → Restricted → Unable to Verify? | Review in 1–2 business days, about 7 days in total | Returned amount must cover the fee |
| Deposited a delisted coin | Returned automatically to the sending address (status "Forced Deposit Return") | — | — |
Sources: uncredited deposit guide, incorrect deposit FAQ, restricted deposit return.
The recovery service fee works like this: when you submit, the amount is frozen in your Spot account and deducted only if the assets are recovered; if recovery fails, the frozen fee is released automatically. Two more limits: deposits below the minimum returnable amount (equal to the coin's minimum withdrawal) cannot be processed, and more than 10 uncredited deposits need batch handling through customer service. Delisted or legacy-contract tokens (MEXC cites ZINU and GART) usually cannot be recovered.
A restricted deposit return needs a short video: your ID in one hand, the handwritten or printed refund application in the other, full face visible, and the recording date must match the date on the application. The ID is used only for the refund review and does not count as completing KYC.
Withdrawal flow: from submission to arrival
MEXC's withdrawal not received guide breaks withdrawals into statuses; the first two are where people get stuck:
- Travel Rule information verification: usually 1–3 minutes.
- Pending verification: MEXC sends a confirmation link by email or SMS; open it and enter the last four characters of the withdrawal address (for memo coins, the address itself, not the memo; case-sensitive). The link is valid for 15 minutes; if it expires, cancel and submit again.
- Under review: manual review, estimated 5–60 minutes.
- Pending processing: if it stays here, check whether the withdrawal channel for that coin is open.
A TxID is usually generated within 1–60 minutes; if there is none after 1 hour, MEXC asks you to contact support with a screenshot. If the address or memo is wrong and you have not yet confirmed via the link, cancel it under Funding History → Withdrawal and resubmit; once confirmed, it goes on-chain and MEXC cannot retrieve it (common withdrawal issues). Receiving addresses on some chains, such as HBAR, XRP, ALGO and APTOS, must be activated for the token first, and MEXC prompts you if it detects an inactive address.
Withdrawal limits follow KYC level
MEXC's KYC FAQ lists 80 BTC per day for Primary KYC and 200 BTC per day for Advanced KYC, with unlimited crypto deposits at both levels; Advanced KYC also allows fiat trading of 20,000 USD per day (official KYC FAQ). Whether unverified accounts can deposit, withdraw or trade depends on regional rules and the on-screen prompts. If you are told to complete verification before withdrawing and cannot, you can file a withdrawal appeal through the website's self-service channel; once approved, the account keeps only withdrawal and position-closing permissions. For other exchanges see our exchange KYC comparison.
Fund security settings and 24-hour locks
Under Security → Fund Security Settings there are three features (official withdrawal settings guide):
- Withdrawal whitelist: withdrawals only go to whitelisted addresses. Once enabled, a "whitelist security restriction" option appears: new whitelist addresses must wait 24 hours before use, and if you switch the restriction off, the whole account waits 24 hours before withdrawing again.
- Fast withdrawal: single withdrawals under a limit you choose (MEXC's example is 500 USDT) skip 2FA; a changed limit takes effect after 24 hours, and MEXC may still require verification based on account security.
- Withdrawal protection: set a lock period during which all on-chain withdrawals are rejected automatically; you can enable "unlock early" when setting it up.
Changing account security details also triggers locks: after changing your linked email or phone number, crypto and fiat withdrawals are disabled for 24 hours; after unlinking Google Authenticator, withdrawals and transfers are restricted for 24 hours (change email, change phone, unlink Google Authenticator).
Fiat and P2P: what users in Taiwan can use
MEXC's fiat options fall into two groups: Quick Buy (credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, third-party providers, local bank transfers and QR payments) and P2P. What we found:
- P2P: on 2026-09-28 we checked the official fiat list used by MEXC's P2P page: 60 currencies, no TWD.
- Quick Buy: the same day, the Quick Buy fiat menu did list TWD, but MEXC states that payment methods and providers vary by region, currency and campaign period, and third-party limits are set by the providers (MEXC's USD example is a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 12,000 dollars). Which payment methods a Taiwan account can actually use, check what the app shows.
- Zero-fee campaigns: MEXC lists Apple Pay, Google Pay and credit/debit cards as long-term zero-fee Quick Buy methods, though banks or card issuers may still charge FX or cross-border fees (official zero-fee guide). The regional zero-fee fiat deposit campaigns it lists (SEPA in Europe, Pix in Brazil, Latin America, VietQR in Vietnam, QRPh in the Philippines) do not include Taiwan.
- Withdrawal wait after buying (T+N): coins bought through the platform's payment channels can only be withdrawn after 24–72 hours in some regions; the current list covers many European countries, Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and others, not Taiwan (T+N policy). P2P has separate T+1/T+2 rules based on KYC nationality, and that list does not include Taiwan either (T+1/T+2 guide); MEXC may change both lists at any time.
Official MEXC P2P rules
P2P requires Primary KYC. MEXC currently charges no P2P fee and acts only as the marketplace, not as a buyer or seller. The seller's crypto is locked when an order is placed and released once both sides complete it; payment accounts must be in your own name and match your MEXC account, or your P2P trading may be suspended. Quick Buy matches you with the best available price automatically, while the P2P zone lets you choose the advertiser (P2P FAQ).
MEXC has documented several P2P scams worth reading before you trade (official scam warning, triangle scams, fake escrow scams):
- Fake escrow or cold wallet: the counterparty says payment goes first to a "MEXC Wallet", a "platform escrow account" or the "exchange cold wallet" and asks you to confirm or top up first. MEXC states it does not use any third-party or external escrow.
- Triangle scams: the scammer has you pay into another seller's order and takes the crypto. Before paying, check the payee name matches the verified name on your order, and use only the payment details shown in your own order.
- Delayed payment details: the seller says details will come in chat and waits until the order is about to expire. If time is short, do not transfer; once an order expires the platform cannot protect you.
- Fake support: messages from "Support" or "Assistant P2P", or anyone asking for your email or UID, are scams. Real support messages appear on the left of the chat with a headset avatar and the label "Sent by Customer Service".
Taiwan compliance in one line
MEXC is not on the list of virtual asset service providers that have completed AML registration with Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission (list updated 2026-09-03). For the full list and each exchange's terms, see Offshore Crypto Exchanges in Taiwan: FSC Register Check.
Scam prevention: deposit addresses and "pay first to withdraw"
MEXC deposit addresses only appear on the Deposit → On-Chain Deposit page after you log in to the official app or website. To check whether a social media account claiming to be MEXC is real, use MEXC Verify in the website footer or under Services in the app (MEXC Verify guide). MEXC also warns never to transfer money for "unfreezing", "activation" or similar requests. Taiwan's FSC press release of 2025-09-22 likewise warns that scammers demand unfreezing fees, deposits or taxes before investment returns can be withdrawn (FSC press release).
Only two legitimate MEXC charges show up around deposits and withdrawals: the network fee shown on the withdrawal page, and the service fee shown when you request recovery of a wrong deposit (released if recovery fails). Anyone asking you to send money on top of that is not following an official process.
Deposits, withdrawals and your rebate
Deposits, withdrawals, internal transfers and P2P trades generate no trading fees and do not affect your rebate; rebates are calculated only on the fees from the spot and futures trades you place afterwards. With mexc-NOVA888 on MEXC, new users get 50% at Lv.1, 55% at SVIP and 60% at Supernova (invite-only). For tiers and examples see the MEXC fee rebate guide, for the code see MEXC invite code mexc-NOVA888, and if you already have an account see the MEXC rebind guide.
FAQ
Why can't I withdraw a deposit marked "pre-credited" on MEXC?
Pre-crediting only means the first confirmation threshold has been reached, so the funds can be traded but not withdrawn or transferred. Once the second threshold is reached and the status becomes "credited successfully", you can withdraw.
Which network is cheapest for withdrawing USDT from MEXC?
Based on the official fee page data on 2026-09-28, Plasma is free (minimum 10 USDT), Polygon costs 0.0065, BEP20 0.01 and TON 0.017, versus 0.5 USDT on TRC20. The withdrawal page is authoritative, and the receiving side must support the same network.
How much is the fee for recovering a wrong-network deposit?
MEXC says the amount is not fixed and is shown on the application page or in the email notice; it is frozen when you submit and released automatically if recovery fails.
Can I withdraw from MEXC without KYC?
MEXC says it depends on regional rules. If you are required to verify before withdrawing and cannot, you can file a withdrawal appeal; once approved, the account keeps only withdrawal and position-closing permissions.
Does MEXC P2P support TWD?
The official P2P fiat list had no TWD on 2026-09-28; the Quick Buy fiat menu does list TWD, but available payment methods vary by region, so check what the app shows.
