How do you register with MEXC? Six steps: open the referral link → enter an email or phone number and password → check the code reads mexc-NOVA888 (prefix included) → complete KYC as needed → deposit and trade → bind your UID on the rebate site. MEXC's list rates are the lowest set of the seven (0.04% futures taker, 0% spot maker). Bind through Quant Nova and entry-level Lv.1 already pays 50% combined, rising to 55% at SVIP, the highest tier you can reach by trading.
Three things to know before you sign up
- A referral code can only be entered at signup — it cannot be added later. This is what most people discover too late. Get it wrong or skip it and rebinding is your only route — fortunately, rebinding on MEXC is relatively easy (one KYC can open 2 accounts).
- The prefix is part of the code. MEXC's code is mexc-NOVA888, not the NOVA888 used elsewhere. Without the prefix it is the same as no code.
- Registering is not the same as earning rebates. The code decides Layer 1; Layer 2 needs your UID bound on the rebate site — two things, two places.
About the referral code
The exchange charges you a fee either way. A referral code does not cost you a cent extra — it decides how much of that fee comes back. No code means that 20% becomes someone else's commission and you get nothing.
And Layer 1's 20% is not automatic just because you used a code — the referrer decides how much to pass on, and setting it to 0% is perfectly legitimate. Plenty of YouTuber and KOL codes are configured exactly that way. With mexc-NOVA888, that 20% is guaranteed to reach you.
MEXC registration, step by step
Step 1: open the referral registration link
Use the "Register" button on this page to open MEXC's official signup form; the link already carries the code mexc-NOVA888. If you register manually, type the full mexc-NOVA888 into the "referral code" field yourself.
Step 2: enter an email or phone number and set a password
Use an address you actually check, set a strong password, and turn on 2FA immediately. Exchange accounts are rarely lost because the platform was breached — they are lost to reused passwords with no second factor.
Step 3: confirm the code reads mexc-NOVA888
Check the referral field once more before submitting and make sure the mexc- prefix is still there. This step decides every rebate you will ever earn on the account, and it cannot be changed afterwards.
Step 4: complete KYC as needed
MEXC's KYC requirements for trading and withdrawals depend on the feature and the limit, per whatever the official rules are at the time; the rebate binding itself needs only a UID. Completing verification is still recommended, so that limits and features are unrestricted. Have your ID ready for document and face verification; it usually takes minutes to a day. Photograph the document with all four corners visible, no glare and no cropping, and make sure your details match the document.
Step 5: deposit and start trading
Deposit in crypto or through a fiat channel. Always confirm the network before an on-chain transfer — USDT exists on TRC20, ERC20, BSC and others, and assets sent on the wrong chain are usually unrecoverable. Once you trade, every fee starts accruing something that can come back to you.
Step 6: bind your UID on the rebate site
In the app, tap the profile icon in the top left and open "Profile"; on the website, click the user icon in the top right. The page lists your avatar, nickname, email and UID (a plain string of digits). Copy it, go to the Quant Nova rebate dashboard, pick MEXC, paste and submit. Binding needs only the UID: no API key, no password, no withdrawal permission. Your assets stay in your own exchange account throughout.
What will you pay in fees?
A rebate is a percentage of the fee, so knowing what comes back starts with knowing what you pay. MEXC's list rates for regular users (VIP 0):
| Product | Maker | Taker | Note |
| Spot | 0% | 0.05% | The five major exchanges charge 0.10% spot taker |
| USDT-M futures | 0.01% | 0.04% | Lowest of the seven; the five major exchanges charge 0.05%–0.06% |
Every market order is a taker order, so at the same notional a limit-order trader pays considerably less — on MEXC, spot maker orders are actually free. The table shows VIP 0 rates read from MEXC's public API on 21 September 2026 and may change; current rates are on the official MEXC fee page.
How much rebate will you get?
The rebate comes in two layers, from completely different places:
| Layer | Who pays it | Rate | Requirement |
| Layer 1: auto rebate | MEXC | 20% | Sign up with referral code mexc-NOVA888 |
| Layer 2: extra rebate | The rebate site (Quant Nova) | By tier | Bind your UID on the rebate site |
Your tier is set by XP, and XP is simply the fees you have paid in the last 30 days, in USDT — pay 500 USDT in fees and you have 500 XP. No conversion.
On 500 USDT of monthly fees: Lv.1 returns 250 USDT, SVIP returns 275 USDT. The rate is applied per fill at whatever tier you were in, so your first month comes in under this; it converges once you settle into a tier.
The top "Supernova" tier cannot be reached by trading volume. It is invitation-only, reserved for accounts of a certain size, and arranged case by case.
What about the signup bonus?
Every exchange advertises a welcome package — bonuses, trial funds, mystery boxes — and the headline numbers look large. In practice these almost always come with conditions: a minimum deposit, a volume target inside a window, and rewards that are usually non-withdrawable trial credit or fee coupons that expire if unused.
Treat it as a one-off bonus, not as a reason to pick an exchange. What actually drives long-run cost is the fee and the rebate, because those happen on every single trade. You collect a signup bonus once; you collect rebates for as long as you trade. The actual terms are whatever MEXC's own campaign page says — we make no promises about them.
Already have a MEXC account?
The code cannot be backfilled, but you can "rebind" an existing account under mexc-NOVA888. One MEXC KYC can register up to 2 accounts, so simply register again with a new email; if both are already used, close one and wait 15 days. For the full conditions, steps and risks see the MEXC rebinding guide.
Five mistakes people make
- Skipping the code, assuming it can be added later. It cannot. That is the single most important line in this guide.
- Typing NOVA888 and dropping the mexc- prefix. MEXC's code is mexc-NOVA888; without the prefix it is the same as no code. Registering through the dedicated link rules this out.
- Assuming the code alone produces a rebate. That is only Layer 1. Layer 2 needs the UID bound on the rebate site.
- Binding the wrong UID. The UID is a numeric account ID — not a nickname, not an email. Sub-account commission rolls up to the master account's UID, so binding the master is enough.
- Depositing on the wrong chain. USDT lives on several; assets sent on the wrong one are usually gone. Check the network on both sides first.
FAQ
Do I have to use a referral code on MEXC?
It is not compulsory, but without one you get no rebate at all and it cannot be added later. Using mexc-NOVA888 costs you nothing extra.
Where do I enter mexc-NOVA888?
The link from the button on this page carries it automatically. Registering manually, type it into the "referral code" field, mexc- prefix included — and check it once before submitting.
How long does registration take? Can I trade the same day?
The account itself takes minutes; KYC usually takes minutes to a day. Once KYC clears you get full deposit and trading limits.
Is KYC required?
MEXC's KYC requirements depend on the feature and the limit; the official rules apply. The rebate binding needs only a UID, but completing verification is recommended so that trading and withdrawal limits are unrestricted.
Does registering, binding or claiming cost anything?
No, all of it is free. A rebate returns part of a fee you were going to pay anyway; Quant Nova charges nothing on top.
Do I have to hand over an API key? Is it safe?
No. Only the UID — no API key, no password, no withdrawal permission. Your assets stay in your own MEXC account; the rebate site neither custodies nor can move them.
I already have an account — can I still earn rebates?
Yes, through rebinding rather than backfilling the code. One MEXC KYC can open 2 accounts, so simply register again with a new email. See the rebinding guide.
When does the rebate arrive?
After the exchange's daily report lands we import it, match each row to your UID and compute rebate and XP — typically posting to your rebate balance from T+1 onwards, visible and withdrawable.
Is there a minimum withdrawal threshold?
There is no lockup. The balance accrues on the rebate site and can be withdrawn whenever you like.
Can I register with several exchanges at once?
Yes, and it is worth doing. Trade wherever suits, watch every rebate in one dashboard; tier and XP are tracked per exchange. See the full seven-exchange comparison.
