Referral Code Late Entry & Rebind Rules: 12 Exchanges (2026)

Once a referrer (referral code or invite code) is bound, none of the twelve exchanges lets you change it. If you skipped the code at signup, only five exchanges let you add it later, and each has a deadline: Binance within 30 days of signup, MEXC within 30 days, Bybit within 14 days, Pionex within 14 days (only 72 hours if you have already used a bot or placed an order), and BingX before your first deposit (including buying crypto). OKX, Gate, Bitget, WEEX, XT.COM, HTX and AlphaX have no public way to add a code after signup. If your window has closed or someone else's code is already on the account, you need a rebind method instead: an official rebind request, a KYC identity transfer, deleting the account and registering again, or opening a new account.

If you are going to rebind anyway, move to the highest rebate in one go. Most KOL referral codes you find online give 20%. Through Quant Nova, Binance and Bybit go up to 40% (2×), Bitget 50% (2.5×), MEXC 60% (3×), and Gate, WEEX and XT.COM up to 70% (3.5×). Late entry and rebind rules at 12 exchanges

Which method to try, in order

1. Check the late-entry window first: if the account is within 30 days at Binance or MEXC, within 14 days at Bybit or Pionex (72 hours at Pionex after bots or orders), or has never been funded at BingX, and it has no referrer yet, add the code officially. No new account needed.
2. Then try the official rebind: Binance's Rebind Request (bind-ref), or at OKX the official rebind request or the 180-day inactivity recall.
3. Then use KYC transfer: self-service at Bybit and BingX, through support at WEEX. Register an unverified account with the new code first, then move the old account's KYC across.
4. Then delete and re-register: at Binance, move the KYC 35 days after deletion; at Bitget, wait out the 30-day cooldown; at MEXC, wait for deletion to finish (up to 15 working days).
5. Last, other new-account methods (another ID document, a family member's identity, a new phone number or email): at Bybit, open a new account with another unused ID document; at Binance, OKX and Bitget, register a new account under a family member's identity; at Gate, MEXC, WEEX, XT.COM and AlphaX, register again with an unused phone number or email (or wallet).

Whichever route you take, the order is the same: register with the new referral code first, then do everything else. KYC transfer and re-registration move your identity, not your referral code. If the new account was opened without the code, nothing you do afterwards will bring the rebate back.

Exchange-by-exchange rules

Binance

You can add a code within 30 days of signup if the account has no deposit, no trade and no referrer. Once a referral relationship exists it cannot be changed or removed (Binance Referral Pro FAQ). After the window closes, there is the official Rebind Request page: KYC must be complete, 90-day volume before applying must be no more than 5,000 USD, and you pass by trading 150,000 USDT within 30 days of applying. This page only works for accounts that have no referrer yet. OKX

OKX only accepts an invite code when the account is created, and attribution cannot be changed afterwards. There are two official routes. The first is recall after 180 days of inactivity: per the OKX affiliate FAQ, inactive means no deposits, trades or logins for 180 days, so do not log in, deposit or trade while you wait. The second is the official rebind request, which is reviewed automatically against unpublished conditions; leaving the account idle for one to two months first improves your chances. Bybit

Within 14 days of signup, a main account with no referrer can add an affiliate code under Profile → Account → Account Info → Join an Affiliate's Community. Once added, it cannot be cancelled or changed (Bybit help article). After 14 days, use the official identity transfer: the old account's KYC must be at least 24 hours old, the receiving account must be unverified, you cannot transfer again for 180 days, and both accounts lose withdrawals and fiat for 24 hours. Gate

Gate takes the invite code only at signup (Gate referral page), and it cannot be added later. Rebinding is easy: one KYC can register up to 5 accounts, so sign up again with a new email through our link and enter QUANTXXX. A phone number is not required. See the Gate rebind guide.

Bitget

The Bitget exchange has no public way to add a code after signup. The widely quoted "add a code within 7 days" rule is for Bitget Wallet, not exchange accounts. To rebind you delete the account first; the Bitget account deletion article says the same phone number, email or ID cannot register a new account for 30 days after deletion. MEXC

Within 30 days of signup, a main account with no referrer can add mexc-NOVA888 through MEXC's self-service referrer linking; the link cannot be changed afterwards. After 30 days, register again with a new email. One person's KYC can be linked to at most 2 accounts; if both are used, delete one first. WEEX

WEEX has no way to add an invite code after signup. To rebind, register through our link with a phone number or email WEEX has never seen, and check that the lowercase nova888 is filled in. KYC is not mandatory at WEEX, so the new account can trade without verification. If your old account is verified, contact support from the new account (top right of the app) to transfer the KYC. XT.COM

XT.COM takes the referral code only at signup (the optional "Referral code" field; see XT.COM's registration guide), and it cannot be added later. To rebind, open a new account with an unused phone number or email; you can trade, deposit and withdraw without KYC. The old account can still withdraw, so just move your assets across. HTX

HTX takes the referral code at signup only. The "Invite code (optional)" field on the signup page is collapsed by default, so open it and check that it says lowercase nova888. Pionex

According to Pionex's refill rule, an account registered without a code can add one within 14 days. If you have already created a bot or placed an order, the window shrinks to 72 hours. You add it from the avatar menu on web or in the app, and it cannot be changed once submitted. AlphaX

AlphaX binds the invite code only at signup. It is a DEX: you sign up with an email or a Web3 wallet and there is no KYC, so rebinding involves no identity transfer. Register again through the NOVA888 link with an email or wallet you have never used on AlphaX, then move your funds on-chain. Positions on the old account do not move, so close them first. BingX

If the account has made no deposit (including transfers in and buying crypto) and has not invited anyone, you can add a code under Profile Settings → My Referrer. Once bound, the code cannot be changed or removed (BingX registration FAQ). Funded accounts use the official identity transfer: only Advanced-KYC accounts can transfer out, the receiving account must be unverified, and neither account can transfer again for 180 days. Six common rebind mistakes

• Transferring KYC before registering the new account: an identity transfer does not carry the referral code, so always register the new account with the new code first, then transfer KYC.
• Expecting Binance bind-ref to replace an existing referrer: it only works for accounts with no referrer. If you already have one, delete the account or open a new one.
• Logging in to OKX during the recall wait: the official inactivity rule includes "no logins", so a login means the account is no longer idle.
• Applying Bitget Wallet's 7-day rule to the exchange: Bitget exchange accounts have no late-entry option.
• Getting the code or its case wrong: Gate is QUANTXXX, MEXC is mexc-NOVA888, WEEX and HTX are lowercase nova888, and the rest are uppercase NOVA888. All codes are in the exchange referral code list.
• Forgetting to bind the UID after rebinding: bind the new account's UID on the Quant Nova rebate site, or the extra rebate never starts. How payouts work: how fee rebates are settled.

Before you rebind, close positions on the old account and move your assets to the new one. KYC transfer and re-registration only change which referrer the account belongs to; assets, positions and copy trades never move on their own. Bybit also locks withdrawals on both accounts for 24 hours after a transfer, so leave time for large moves.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change my Binance referrer?

No. A Binance referral relationship cannot be changed or removed once it exists. Only accounts with no referrer can add one, either within 30 days of signup or through the official Rebind Request (bind-ref). If you already have a referrer, the only route is to delete the old account and, after 35 days, move the KYC to an account registered with the new code.

Can I add a Bybit referral code after signing up?

Yes, within 14 days. A main account with no referrer can add it under Profile → Account → Account Info → Join an Affiliate's Community, and it cannot be changed afterwards. After 14 days, use a KYC identity transfer instead.

Which exchanges let you add a referral code after signup?

Five: Binance (30 days), MEXC (30 days), Bybit (14 days), Pionex (14 days, or 72 hours after using a bot or placing an order) and BingX (before your first deposit or crypto purchase). OKX, Gate, Bitget, WEEX, XT.COM, HTX and AlphaX have no public late-entry option.

Can I change my OKX referrer?

Not directly, but OKX has two official routes: a new affiliate can recall the account after 180 days with no deposits, trades or logins, or you can submit the official rebind request, which is reviewed automatically and can be resubmitted 30 days after a rejection.

Does rebinding affect my assets?

It does not touch your assets, but it does not move them either. KYC transfer and re-registration only deal with identity and the referral code; you have to transfer the old account's assets yourself and settle positions and copy trades first.

Does the referral code move with a KYC transfer?

No. The rebate follows the referral code entered at signup, not your KYC, so register an unverified account with the new code first and then transfer the old account's KYC to it.

When does the rebate start after rebinding?

From the moment the new account carries the referral code and its UID is bound on the Quant Nova rebate site; fees paid after that start earning rebates, while fees paid before the rebind are not back-dated.
