How Are Crypto Fee Rebates Settled? When They Arrive and Where to Claim (Collect First, Refund Later)
Understand how crypto exchange fee rebates settle — the collect-first, refund-later model, settlement timing, and how to view every rebate and balance and withdraw at the one-stop rebate dashboard (Quant Nova).
You just paid a trading fee on an exchange, and a few days later an unexpected "rebate" lands in your account — that is the heart of crypto fee rebates: collect first, refund later. The exchange charges you the full fee, then returns an agreed share afterward. This guide explains how rebates settle, when they arrive, and where to claim them, so those mystery credits in your wallet finally make sense.
Collect First, Refund Later: How Fee Rebates Actually Work
A rebate is not a "discount" — it is "charge at full price, then return a share." When your order fills, the exchange charges maker/taker fees based on your fee tier. Part of that fee is recorded as a "rebatable amount," and after the exchange aggregates and reconciles it, the agreed share is returned to your rebate account.
Why refund afterward instead of discounting up front? Because the rebate rate is tied to your referral relationship and your rebate level, and the exchange must first confirm the trade is real and not cancelled or refunded before it can compute the payable amount. That is also why rebates are rarely instant and carry a settlement delay.
There is a second implication: your nominal fee rate does not change, so your maker/taker strategy is unaffected. What actually changes is your net fee — once the rebate is counted, the real cost you bear is what matters. To compare the raw fee rates across exchanges, see the table below.

Settlement Rhythm: From Fill to Rebate Credit
From the moment a rebate is generated to when you can claim it, it passes through roughly four stages:
Fill and billing: your order fills and the exchange charges the fee at your rate.
Aggregation and reconciliation: on a fixed cycle (usually daily) the exchange totals your rebatable fees and deducts refunds, cancellations and other adjustments.
Rebate credit: once reconciled, the payable share is posted to your rebate or commission account.
View and claim: at the one-stop rebate dashboard (Quant Nova) you can see every single rebate, your running balance, and withdraw once you pass the threshold.
Aggregation cycles differ by exchange: some settle daily, some next-day or T+1, and some cut over at the UTC day boundary. So a trade you make today often shows its rebate the next day or within a few days — that is normal, not a missed payout.
Where Do You Claim It? One Dashboard for Every Rebate
Most KOL invite codes hand you a single discount number and nothing more — you can't see how much you paid, how much came back, or where it went; you have to dig through the exchange back office yourself. Quant Nova works differently: once you bind your invite code, the one-stop rebate dashboard (Quant Nova) lets you check every rebate, your current balance, your rebate level and XP, and withdraw once you qualify. That transparency is our biggest difference from a plain invite code.
On top of that, KOL invite codes usually give a flat 20% discount, whereas we pay a higher share based on your rebate level — the more you trade, the higher your level, the more comes back. For the top rates and rebate structure across exchanges, see the table below.

How Settlement Differs by Exchange
The collect-first, refund-later skeleton is the same everywhere, but each exchange differs in its rebate ceiling, aggregation cadence and binding steps. Here are the highlights in brief — for the full detail and rebinding steps, open each guide.
Binance
Invite code NOVA888, up to 40% (20% automatic from the exchange + up to 20% extra by level). See the Binance rebinding guide.
OKX
Invite code NOVA888, 20% rebate publicly; for a higher share, contact support. See the OKX rebinding guide.
Bitget
Invite code NOVA888, up to 50% (20% + up to 30% extra by level). See the Bitget rebinding guide.
Bybit
Invite code NOVA888, up to 40%. Note: Bybit is not a "20% + extra" stack — it is a single combined total of up to 40%. See the Bybit rebinding guide.
Gate
Invite code QUANTXXX, up to 70% (20% + up to 50% extra by level). See the Gate rebinding guide.
Your Rebate Share Follows Your Level: XP and the Tier System
How large a share you get depends on your rebate level, and your level is set by experience points (XP). The mechanism matters, so let's be precise:
XP = the trading fees (in USDT) you have accumulated over the trailing 30 days. This number is recomputed on a daily rolling basis — today it counts the last 30 days and drops anything older than day 31. So your level is dynamic: the day your 30-day fees cross a threshold, the new level's rebate rate takes effect that same day; and if your volume falls below a threshold, it steps back down. It is not monthly, not reset each month, and not "effective next month."
A worked XP example: if you paid 600 USDT in fees over the last 30 days, your XP is 600 — past the Lv.3 threshold of 500 and heading toward Lv.4 at 1000; push your trailing-window fees to 1000 and you jump to Lv.4 that very day. The thresholds are Lv.2 = 100, Lv.3 = 500, Lv.4 = 1000, Lv.5 = 2500, SVIP = 5000 (all trailing-30-day fees in USDT); "Supernova" is granted by an administrator and cannot be reached by XP alone. The actual rebate share for each level is shown live on the platform:

What Affects When Your Rebate Arrives
Exchange aggregation cycle: daily vs T+1 decides how fast the rebate shows.
Whether your binding is active: rebinding usually counts from the next settlement cycle; earlier orders are not backdated.
Cancellations and refunds: cancelled or refunded fills earn no rebate and are deducted at reconciliation.
Withdrawal threshold and network confirmation: you can withdraw only once the balance clears the threshold, and on-chain arrival also depends on network confirmation time.

The exchange charges you the full fee first, then returns an agreed share to your rebate account based on your referral relationship and rebate level. The nominal rate is unchanged; what changes is your net cost after the rebate is counted.
How long until a rebate arrives?
It depends on the exchange's aggregation cycle — commonly daily or T+1. A trade today usually shows its rebate the next day or within a few days; settlements crossing the UTC day boundary land a little later, which is normal.
Where do I claim my rebate?
Once you bind your invite code, head to the one-stop rebate dashboard (Quant Nova) to view every rebate, your running balance and level, and withdraw once the balance clears the threshold.
Can my rebate rate change?
Yes. The rate follows your rebate level, which is set by your trailing-30-day fees (XP) and recomputed daily. It takes effect the day you qualify and steps back down if your volume drops below a threshold.
After rebinding, are my earlier trades refunded retroactively?
Generally not. Rebinding usually takes effect from the next settlement cycle, and earlier orders are computed under the prior relationship. See each exchange's rebinding guide for details.
Why does my own rebate estimate differ from what actually lands?
Common causes are cancellations, refunds or cross-cycle adjustments — those fills earn no rebate and are deducted at reconciliation. The detail shown on the one-stop rebate dashboard is the most accurate reference.
