BingX and Bybit are both popular for copy trading, but once the fee rebate is counted, BingX's futures costs are clearly lower. Most KOL referral codes you can find online give 20%, but with NOVA888 bound through Quant Nova, BingX pays 41%–52% in total and Bybit 30%–40%, up to 2.6 and 2 times a typical 20% code. On 1,000 USDT of monthly fees, a 20% code returns 200 USDT; NOVA888 returns 410–520 USDT on BingX and 300–400 USDT on Bybit. BingX's 0.05% futures taker fee is already below Bybit's 0.055%, and the rebate is bigger too, so the top-tier net rate is 0.024% on BingX vs 0.033% on Bybit, and 0.0295% vs 0.0385% at the no-threshold Lv.1. If you signed up without a code, BingX lets you add one before your first deposit and Bybit within 14 days; both allow rebinding through a KYC identity transfer.
Quick verdict
- Copy-trading cost only → BingX: futures taker 0.05% vs 0.055% and Lv.1 rebate 41% vs 30%, so BingX nets cheaper at every tier. On 300,000 USDT of monthly copied notional, all taker, the Lv.1 net cost is 88.5 USDT on BingX and 115.5 USDT on Bybit.
- More than double a typical KOL code: typical codes give 20%–25%; with NOVA888, BingX pays 41% from day one (just over 2 times a 20% code) and up to 52% (2.6 times); Bybit pays 30%–40% (1.5 to 2 times).
- BingX's 40% applies from sign-up: when bound via Quant Nova, BingX returns this 40% to your account automatically on every trade, and the sign-up page shows "You'll enjoy 40% rebate" once NOVA888 is entered.
- Bybit adds Earn interest sharing and US stock perps: Bybit Earn interest sharing returns up to 40%; we measured Bybit's stock perps at 171 tickers, while BingX has not yet been measured.
- Both allow late entry and rebinding: BingX lets you add a code if you have not deposited, bought crypto or invited anyone; Bybit within 14 days of sign-up. After that both support KYC identity transfer, and on Bybit you can also open a new account with another ID document.
What copy trading costs: fees are the one part you can cut in advance
When you copy trade, your funds open and close positions after the lead trader, and each open and close is a futures fill charged at the futures fee rate. The lead trader's profit share follows each platform's own rules and is not a trading fee; funding rates are set by the market and cannot be known in advance. Of these three costs, fees are the only one you can calculate ahead of time and reduce with a rebate. And since the lead trader decides how often to trade, you have little control over frequency, so fees quietly pile up.
The maths of one copied trade: say the lead trader opens a position and your copied notional is 10,000 USDT, opened and closed as a taker. On BingX the fees are 10,000 × 0.05% × 2 = 10 USDT, the Lv.1 rebate is 4.1 USDT, and you pay 5.9 USDT. On Bybit they are 10,000 × 0.055% × 2 = 11 USDT, the Lv.1 rebate is 3.3 USDT, and you pay 7.7 USDT. With a typical 20% code you would get back only 2 USDT on BingX and 2.2 USDT on Bybit, so NOVA888 returns 2.05 and 1.5 times as much.
Lead traders often open dozens of positions a month, and a few USDT per trade multiplied by that count becomes real money. That is why copy traders should bind a referral code before they start copying.
Fees: BingX has the lower futures taker fee
List fees for regular users (VIP 0):
| Item | BingX | Bybit |
|---|---|---|
| Spot maker / taker | 0.10% / 0.10% | 0.10% / 0.10% |
| Futures maker | 0.02% | 0.02% |
| Futures taker | 0.05% | 0.055% |
| Futures taker ÷ maker | 2.5× | 2.75× |
Fees verified on 2026-09-24 (each exchange's official fee schedule: BingX, Bybit)
- BingX's futures taker fee is about 9% cheaper than Bybit's (0.05 ÷ 0.055 ≈ 0.909). Before any rebate, BingX is already the cheaper one.
- Futures maker is 0.02% on both and spot is 0.10% on both, so the gap sits in futures taker fills, which copy trading uses most.
- Fees fall with VIP tier; this article uses the public rates for regular users, and the rebate is calculated on the fees you actually pay.
Rebate rates: NOVA888 vs typical KOL referral codes
Most BingX and Bybit referral codes you can find give 20%, a few give 25%. These are the combined rates when you use NOVA888 and bind through Quant Nova, and how they compare with a typical 20% code:
| Tier | BingX | BingX vs a 20% code | Bybit | Bybit vs a 20% code |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Typical KOL code | 20% | 1× | 20% | 1× |
| Lv.1 (no threshold) | 41% | about 2× | 30% | 1.5× |
| SVIP | 48% | 2.4× | 35% | 1.75× |
| Supernova (invite-only) | 52% | 2.6× | 40% | 2× |
In money: on 1,000 USDT of monthly fees, a typical 20% code returns 200 USDT; NOVA888 returns 410–520 USDT on BingX and 300–400 USDT on Bybit. Against a 25% code (250 USDT), BingX pays 1.64 to 2.08 times as much and Bybit 1.2 to 1.6 times.
How it is paid: on BingX, the 40% is returned by BingX to your account automatically on every trade, and Quant Nova pays the rest by tier; on Bybit, Quant Nova pays the whole amount by tier. Both are itemised on the same dashboard. Supernova is invite-only; the highest tier you can reach by trading is SVIP: 48% on BingX and 35% on Bybit. Tiers depend on XP, which is your fees over the last 30 days (1 USDT = 1 XP), counted separately per exchange.
Net futures rates after the rebate
One formula: net rate = futures fee × (1 − combined rebate rate). Here it is for every tier:
| Binding | BingX net taker | Bybit net taker | BingX net maker | Bybit net maker |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Typical KOL code (20%) | 0.04% | 0.044% | 0.016% | 0.016% |
| Lv.1 | 0.0295% | 0.0385% | 0.0118% | 0.014% |
| SVIP | 0.026% | 0.03575% | 0.0104% | 0.013% |
| Supernova (invite-only) | 0.024% | 0.033% | 0.0096% | 0.012% |
Example: BingX Lv.1 taker = 0.05% × (1 − 41%) = 0.0295%; Bybit Lv.1 taker = 0.055% × (1 − 30%) = 0.0385%; at the top tier, BingX 0.05% × 48% = 0.024% and Bybit 0.055% × 60% = 0.033%. Tier for tier, BingX's net taker rate is 0.009–0.00975 percentage points below Bybit's, roughly a quarter cheaper.
A lower list fee and a bigger rebate, stacked. BingX's taker fee is already about 9% below Bybit's, and its rebate is 11 to 13 points higher at the same tier, so BingX Lv.1 (0.0295%) nets lower than Bybit's top tier (0.033%). Compared with a typical 20% code, BingX Lv.1 cuts the net taker rate from 0.04% to 0.0295%, more than a quarter less.
Spot is 0.10% on both and uses the same rates: at Lv.1, BingX nets 0.059% (0.10% × 59%) and Bybit 0.07% (0.10% × 70%). Copy trading is mostly futures, so the example below covers futures only.
Monthly copy-trading cost
Assume 300,000 USDT of copied futures notional a month, with every open and close counted as a taker fill (copied orders usually fill right after the lead trader's, so we use the higher taker fee to stay conservative). Monthly fees are 150 USDT on BingX (300,000 × 0.05%) and 165 USDT on Bybit (300,000 × 0.055%):
| Binding | BingX net monthly cost | Bybit net monthly cost | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fees before rebate | 150 USDT | 165 USDT | BingX 15 USDT less |
| Typical KOL code (20%) | 120 USDT | 132 USDT | BingX 12 USDT less |
| Lv.1 | 88.5 USDT | 115.5 USDT | BingX 27 USDT less |
| SVIP | 78 USDT | 107.25 USDT | BingX 29.25 USDT less |
| Supernova (invite-only) | 72 USDT | 99 USDT | BingX 27 USDT less |
Method: net cost = monthly fees × (1 − combined rebate rate). BingX Lv.1: 150 × (1 − 41%) = 88.5 USDT, of which 60 USDT (150 × 40%) is returned automatically by BingX and 1.5 USDT is paid by Quant Nova; Bybit Lv.1: 165 × (1 − 30%) = 115.5 USDT.
Compared with a typical 20% code, Lv.1 returns 31.5 USDT more a month on BingX (61.5 − 30) and 16.5 USDT more on Bybit (49.5 − 33), or 378 and 198 USDT a year. If you copy a very active lead trader and your monthly notional reaches 1 million USDT, fees become 500 USDT on BingX and 550 USDT on Bybit, and the Lv.1 net cost is 295 vs 385 USDT, a gap of 90 USDT a month.
Two things make any estimate imprecise: the rebate applies the tier you hold at the time of each trade, and tiers use rolling 30-day XP, so you drop a tier if you stop trading. The SVIP and Supernova rows are ceilings, not promises.
Product and settlement differences
- BingX is known for copy trading and grid bots. Copied opens and closes are futures fills in your own account and count toward the rebate.
- You can see BingX's 40% automatic rebate. The sign-up page shows "You'll enjoy 40% rebate" once NOVA888 is entered; if it does not, the code did not carry over. See the BingX referral code guide.
- Bybit Earn income is shared too. Bound through Quant Nova, up to 40% of the interest share generated by Bybit Earn is returned to you, something BingX does not offer. See the Bybit Earn interest sharing guide.
- Bybit has a full product line and measured stock perps. It covers futures, spot, Earn and copy trading; we measured 171 Bybit stock perp tickers, with CL (crude oil) trading 42.8 million USDT in 24 hours and AAPL 13.1 million USDT. See our tokenised stock perp fee comparison. We have not yet measured BingX's stock perps.
- Both need only your UID, never an API key or password. Sub-account fees count under the main account UID, so bind the main account.
Adding a code later and rebinding: both have a route
If you already have an account and did not use a rebate code, both exchanges offer a way to add or rebind. The code is NOVA888 on both, and once bound it cannot be changed.
BingX: add a code before depositing, otherwise use identity transfer
According to BingX's official FAQ: if your account has no referral code yet, has made no deposit (including transfers in and Buy Crypto) and has invited nobody, you can add NOVA888 under Profile Settings → My Referrer. If you have already deposited or bound another code, the rebind guide uses identity transfer:
- First sign up a brand-new, unverified account with NOVA888; it only counts once you see "You'll enjoy 40% rebate".
- From the old account with Advanced KYC, use Identity Transfer to move the verification to the new account. Afterwards neither account can transfer again for 180 days, and you cannot transfer with ongoing P2P orders or ads (see BingX's identity transfer guide).
- Assets must be moved by hand, and positions and copy trades do not move, so stop copying and settle positions on the old account before the transfer.
Bybit: add a code within 14 days, otherwise KYC transfer or another ID
A Bybit main account within 14 days of sign-up and without a referrer can add an affiliate code under Profile → Account → Account Info → "Join an Affiliate's Community"; it cannot be cancelled or changed afterwards (see Bybit's official guide). Past 14 days:
- KYC identity transfer: sign up a new unverified account with NOVA888, then move the identity over once the old account's KYC is at least 24 hours old. After each transfer you cannot transfer again for 180 days, and withdrawals and fiat on both accounts are restricted for 24 hours (see Bybit's identity transfer guide).
- Use another ID document you have not used yet (driving licence, passport or ID card) to open a new account through the dedicated link, which the rebind guide marks as the fastest route.
- Assets, email, phone number and referral code do not move with KYC, so always sign up the new account with NOVA888 first.
Full steps are in the BingX rebind guide and the Bybit rebind guide; for a side-by-side of identity transfers, see KYC identity transfer for a higher rebate.
