Depositing to and withdrawing from Binance looks like "copy the address, paste, send", but the losses almost always come from the details: the wrong network, a missing memo, a deposit below the minimum, a withdrawal lock after a password change, or a fake payment screenshot on P2P. This guide uses Binance's Help Center and the public data behind its official fee page to cover USDT and BTC deposit networks, confirmations, withdrawal fees, recovery fees for wrong-network deposits, withdrawal security locks, and what Binance P2P actually shows for Taiwan dollars (TWD). Figures are as of 2026-09-28; network fees change with on-chain conditions, so check the withdrawal page before you send.
One thing before your first deposit: a Binance referral code can only be added later within 30 days of signup and before any deposit or trade. Bind NOVA888 before your first deposit and get 30% of every trading fee back from Lv.1, 1.5 times the common 20% code; once you deposit, the window is gone.
Key points
- Cheapest common USDT network: BEP20 (BNB Smart Chain) at 0.01 USDT per withdrawal; TRC20 is 1.5 USDT and ERC20 0.3 USDT, with a 5 USDT minimum on most (as of 2026-09-28).
- Confirmations vary a lot: TRC20, BEP20 and Solana credit after 1 confirmation; ERC20 credits after 6 and unlocks after 64; Polygon needs 200.
- Wrong deposits are not always recoverable: a missing memo can be recovered for the network withdrawal fee in about 7 working days; an unlisted token on a supported network costs 20 USDT and about 30 working days; funds sent to a non-Binance address cannot be helped.
- Password changes lock withdrawals for 24 to 48 hours, and the lock cannot be lifted early.
- TWD P2P: TWD is in Binance P2P's fiat list and Binance applies a T+1 hold to TWD buy orders, but on 2026-09-28 there were zero USDT/TWD ads on either side.
Deposits: pick the right network, then check confirmations and minimums
Binance's official flow is Wallet → [Deposit] → [Deposit Crypto] → coin → network → copy the address (or scan the QR code) into the sending platform. Binance repeats one warning: do not pick the cheapest network; pick the same network as the sending platform. If the sender only supports ERC20, you must choose ERC20, or the funds may be lost for good. You can also choose whether the deposit lands in the Spot or Funding wallet.
These are the most-used USDT networks on Binance (Binance supports 19 USDT networks in total; the deposit page has the full list):
| Network | Confirmations to credit | Confirmations to unlock | Minimum deposit | Memo needed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TRC20 (Tron) | 1 | same | 0.01 USDT | No |
| BEP20 (BNB Smart Chain) | 1 | same | 0.01 USDT | No |
| ERC20 (Ethereum) | 6 | 64 | 0.001 USDT | No |
| Solana | 1 | same | 0.001 USDT | No (addresses are case sensitive) |
| Arbitrum One | 120 | 120 | 0.001 USDT | No |
| Polygon POS | 200 | 300 | 0.02 USDT | No |
| Optimism | 25 | 100 | 0.001 USDT | No |
| TON | 1 | 1 | 0.001 USDT | Yes |

"Credited" and "unlocked" are different. Binance's own example is BTC: it is credited after 1 confirmation, but the system waits for at least 2 before unlocking it. An unlocked-pending deposit cannot be withdrawn and may also block transfers between your wallets. So a USDT deposit via ERC20 shows in your balance well before it can leave again.
Two rules people miss:
- Deposits below the minimum are not credited and cannot be retrieved, according to Binance's incorrect-deposit FAQ. The USDT minimums above are tiny, but some small coins have higher ones.
- Coins that need a memo or tag must have one. Binance lists XRP, XLM, EOS, ATOM, KAVA, BAND, XEM and TON among others; USDT on the TON network also asks for a memo. If a wrong memo happens to match another user's account, Binance says it cannot help.
BTC has fewer options: the Bitcoin mainnet credits after 1 confirmation and unlocks after 2, with a 0.000005 BTC minimum deposit, and Binance accepts deposits from addresses starting with 1, 3, bc1q and bc1p. There is also the Lightning Network, plus wrapped BTC on BEP20 and ERC20 (the deposit page asks you to check the contract address). Wrapped BTC is not the same chain as mainnet BTC.
Wrong network or missing memo: Binance's recovery routes and fees
Binance has two official routes: Tag/Memo Recovery for missing or wrong memos, and Self-Service Recovery for other deposits that have not arrived. Both are submitted from your wallet with the TxID, coin and amount, and can be tracked under Application Records. Binance's published times and fees:
| Case | Estimated time | Fee | Outcome |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deposit with missing or wrong memo | 7 working days | Network withdrawal fee | Refund to source |
| Old or delisted token | 5 working days | Network withdrawal fee | Refund |
| Deposit not credited | 5 working days | Free | Credit |
| Deposit to a Binance hot wallet | 5 working days | Free | Refund |
| Smart Retrieval ([Retrieve Now] in deposit history) | 7 working days | 1 USDT | Refund |
| Unlisted token on a supported network | 30 working days | 20 USDT | Refund |
| Deposit on an unsupported EVM network | 30 working days | 20 USDT | Refund |
Sources: Self-Service Recovery, Wrong or Missing Tag/Memo recovery.
The fine print:
- Fees are charged only if recovery succeeds, but the clock starts once Binance has the full information and fee, and it can take longer. Binance says recovery is not guaranteed.
- Refunds go only to the original sending address; the refund address cannot be changed. If the funds came from another exchange, you then deal with that exchange.
- Memo recovery has a floor: if the amount after the fee is below the minimum withdrawal, it is not accepted, and it only covers coins Binance currently lists.
- Not eligible: a withdrawal from Binance to a wrong address, being the sender to someone else's account, applying on someone else's behalf, or sending to a non-Binance address.
Self-Service Recovery only accepts transactions shown as "confirmed/success" on-chain that still have not arrived after 1 hour; failed or unconfirmed transactions go back to the sending platform.
Withdrawals: fees, minimums and internal transfers
Binance charges a network fee on withdrawals. Binance says this goes to miners or validators and changes with congestion without notice. Figures at the time of checking:
| Coin / network | Withdrawal fee | Minimum withdrawal |
|---|---|---|
| USDT - BEP20 | 0.01 USDT | 5 USDT |
| USDT - TRC20 | 1.5 USDT | 5 USDT |
| USDT - ERC20 | 0.3 USDT | 5 USDT |
| USDT - Solana | 0.3 USDT | 5 USDT |
| USDT - Arbitrum One | 0.1 USDT | 3 USDT |
| USDT - Polygon POS | 0.07 USDT | 5 USDT |
| USDT - TON | 0.3 USDT | 3 USDT |
| BTC - Bitcoin mainnet | 0.000020 BTC | 0.0001 BTC |
| BTC - Lightning | 0.000001 BTC | 0.000020 BTC (max 0.01 BTC per withdrawal) |
Same source as above, checked 2026-09-28. Fees and minimums change, so go by the number on the withdrawal page at the moment you send.
Note that TRC20, often assumed to be the cheap option, is the most expensive of the common USDT networks here at 1.5 USDT, and BEP20 is the cheapest. The rule is the same as for deposits: use the network the receiver supports, not the cheapest one. Binance's fee FAQ says a wrong network can mean funds are lost and unrecoverable.
To send to another Binance account, use an internal transfer: choose [Binance user] under "Send to" and use their Binance ID, email or phone number, or switch to internal transfer when the address belongs to a Binance account. Binance states internal transfers have zero fees and arrive instantly, and the TxID shows as "Internal". This only applies when the address really belongs to a Binance account.
On identity verification, Binance now requires new users to complete [Verified] to deposit and trade. The Help Center does not publish fixed withdrawal limits per level; the logged-in Identification page shows yours. For a cross-exchange view, see the exchange KYC comparison.
Withdrawals suspended? Binance's security locks and whitelist
Many first withdrawal failures are not about balance but about a security lock. Binance's Help Center describes four common ones:
| Trigger | Restriction | Can it be lifted early? |
|---|---|---|
| Password change or similar security action | Withdrawals paused 24 to 48 hours | No |
| Editing the whitelist, or disabling it with the whitelist limit on | Paused 24, 48 or 72 hours | Per the period you set |
| Anti-scam cool-down (e.g. repeated sends to a blacklisted address) | Typically up to 24 hours | Contact support once confirmed safe |
| Abnormal activity detected by risk control (T+2) | All withdrawal functions off for 48 hours | No |
Sources: Reactivating the withdrawal function, Managing withdrawal settings, Withdrawal anti-scam measures.
The same settings can protect you:
- Withdrawal whitelist: once on, you can only withdraw to whitelisted addresses, up to 200; enabling or disabling requires a passkey or 2FA.
- Whitelist withdrawal limit: newly added addresses are blocked for the period you choose, so if a hacker adds their address you have time to secure the account.
- One-step withdrawal: small withdrawals to whitelisted addresses without 2FA, up to a quota you pick; Binance may still ask for 2FA.
If you plan to change your password, 2FA or whitelist, withdraw what you need first, so you are not stuck in a 24 to 72 hour pause.
Fiat channels and TWD P2P: what the official pages show
Binance's Help Center groups its fiat options under "Buy Crypto (Fiat/P2P)": P2P trading, credit/debit card purchases (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), and bank transfer. The bank transfer guides cover specific currencies such as EUR (SEPA), UAH, KZT, ARS, BHD and USD; there is no guide for TWD bank deposits.
For Taiwan dollars on P2P, this is what we found on 2026-09-28:
- TWD is in the P2P fiat list: Binance P2P's public configuration still includes TWD with USDT, BTC, USDC and other assets.
- Binance applies a T+1 hold to TWD buy orders: its "T+1 and T+2 withdrawal limits" FAQ says users who complete a P2P buy order in EUR or TWD (excluding TWD cash payments) have part of the purchased assets held from withdrawal for 24 hours; trading is not affected, the hold cannot be lifted early, and P2P merchants are exempt.
- No ads at the time of checking (2026-09-28): when we checked that day, Binance's public P2P market showed zero USDT/TWD ads on both the buy and sell side. This is a snapshot of that moment, not a lasting state; ads can appear or disappear at any time.
- Card purchases in TWD: not listed on the official Help Center pages; the in-app Buy Crypto page is the reference.
P2P listings change constantly; this records the state when we checked.
Binance P2P rules: payment, release, appeals
If you use Binance P2P in another fiat market, these official rules are worth knowing:
- Escrow: once an order is placed, the seller's crypto is held by Binance until both sides complete.
- Release window: after confirming full payment, the seller must release within 15 minutes. If the buyer paid by an instant method and the seller has not released within 15 minutes, the buyer can appeal, and support may release manually. For non-instant methods, sellers get 2 working days.
- Name match: the paying account must match the Binance verified name. Paying from someone else's account gets the buyer's P2P suspended, no crypto is released, and the seller refunds in full.
- Seller trying to raise the price: if the order price is not more than 10% below market (5% for orders over 1,000 USD), support releases the crypto manually.
- Cancellations: taker buyers can cancel for their own reasons (including time-outs) up to 3 times a day; beyond that P2P is suspended until 24:00 UTC. Never cancel after paying.
- Dispute fee: disputes on completed, cancelled or expired orders are free for the first 3; from the 4th, 1% of the amount, capped at 10 USDT. Resolution depends on the counterparty and may take up to 7 days; refunds are not guaranteed.
- Merchant security deposit: verified merchants post a deposit that Binance can partly or fully deduct for violations; the amount is not published on the Help Center, and refunds take 14 to 45 working days depending on KYC region. Verified merchants get a 20% to 50% P2P fee discount; P2P fees range from 0% to 0.35% by market.

For users in Taiwan: Binance is not on the FSC register
As of 2026-09-28, Binance is not on Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission list of virtual asset service providers that have completed AML registration (list updated 2026-09-03). The rules, how to check the list and the status of all 11 exchanges are in Taiwan VASP registration and offshore exchanges.
Scam check: addresses come from the app, and nobody pays to withdraw
Deposits and withdrawals are where scams strike. A few simple rules:
- Copy deposit addresses only from the Binance app or website deposit page, never from a message, screenshot or "exclusive deposit link".
- Binance says it rarely calls users; if you open the app's withdrawal page during a call, it shows "Binance is not calling you". Anyone claiming to be support and asking you to move funds to a "safe wallet" is, by Binance's own definition, a scam.
- Any platform or "agent" saying you must first pay an unfreezing fee, deposit or tax before you can withdraw is running a scam script.
When Taiwan's FSC published its VASP register on 2025-09-22, it warned that scam rings lure people into buying virtual assets with promises like "guaranteed profit" and "high return, low risk", then demand an unfreezing fee, deposit or tax before any returns can be withdrawn. (FSC press release, Chinese)
How deposits and withdrawals relate to rebates
Rebates are based only on trading fees. Deposits, withdrawals and internal transfers earn no rebate and do not change your rate; withdrawal network fees go to the blockchain and are outside the rebate. The one link is timing: one of Binance's conditions for adding a referral code later is "no deposit or trade yet", so bind the code before your first deposit.
Bind NOVA888 through Quant Nova and new users get 30% from Lv.1 with no threshold (Binance's automatic 20% + Quant Nova's extra 10%), 35% at SVIP through trading volume, and up to 40% at invite-only Supernova, settled daily and traceable per trade. Fee tables and rebate examples are in the Binance fee rebate guide; if you have already deposited, follow the Binance rebind guide.
FAQ
Which network is cheapest for withdrawing USDT from Binance?
As of 2026-09-28, BEP20 is the cheapest common one (0.01 USDT), ERC20 and Solana are 0.3 USDT, and TRC20 is 1.5 USDT. Always use a network the receiver supports; fees change in real time.
How long does a USDT deposit take?
It depends on confirmations: TRC20, BEP20 and Solana credit after 1; ERC20 credits after 6 and unlocks after 64; Polygon credits after 200 and unlocks after 300.
Can I recover a wrong-network deposit or a missing memo?
A missing or wrong memo can be recovered in about 7 working days for the network withdrawal fee. Unlisted tokens on a supported network, or deposits on an unsupported EVM network, cost 20 USDT and take about 30 working days. Funds sent to a non-Binance address cannot be recovered. Refunds only go to the source address and are not guaranteed.
Why can't I withdraw after changing my password?
It is a security measure: after a password change or similar action, withdrawals pause for 24 to 48 hours and resume automatically. The pause cannot be lifted early.
Can I buy USDT with TWD on Binance P2P?
TWD is in the P2P fiat list and Binance applies a T+1 hold to TWD buy orders, but on 2026-09-28 there were no USDT/TWD ads on either side. Check the P2P page after logging in.
Do transfers between Binance accounts cost anything?
No. Sending to another Binance account by Binance ID, email or phone is an internal transfer: zero fee, instant arrival.
