Gate fee rebates go up to 70% — 20% returned by the exchange, plus an extra rebate that scales with your tier. It is the highest ceiling of any exchange on this site. That 70% is invitation-only; the highest tier you can reach by trading is SVIP at 65% combined, and the entry-level Lv.1 already pays 60%. One thing to note before anything else: Gate's referral code is QUANTXXX, not the NOVA888 used on the other exchanges. This guide covers what a Gate rebate is, what you actually pay in fees, how much comes back, how to claim it, and how existing users rebind.
What is a Gate fee rebate? (charged first, returned later)
Gate charges first and returns later: you pay the fee at the moment of the trade, and the rebate comes back afterwards. The rate on the order ticket does not get cheaper because of the rebate — the savings arrive after the fact.
The rebate has two layers, and they come from completely different places:
| Layer | Who pays it | Rate | Requirement |
| Layer 1: auto rebate | Gate | 20% | Sign up with referral code QUANTXXX |
| Layer 2: extra rebate | The rebate site (Quant Nova) | 40%–50% by tier | Bind your UID on the rebate site |
Layer 1 is not automatic just because you used a code. The referrer decides how much of it to pass on, and setting it to 0% is perfectly legitimate — plenty of YouTuber and KOL codes are configured exactly that way: you still pay the full fee, and the entire 20% becomes their commission. Sign up with QUANTXXX and that 20% is guaranteed to come back to you. Layer 2 is a separate thing: the rebate site takes the commission it receives from the exchange and passes part of it back to you. Most KOLs keep this layer too. For how that layer works and why it can exceed 20%, see Auto rebate vs extra rebate and Why you can get more than a 20% rebate. The schedule, currency and mechanics of Layer 1 are Gate's to set — the official Gate referral documentation prevails.
First, know what you are paying: Gate's list fees
A rebate is a percentage of the fee, not of the notional you trade. Gate's list rates for regular users (VIP 0):
| Product | Maker | Taker | With GT deduction |
| Spot | 0.10% | 0.10% | 0.075% (25% off) |
| USDT-M futures | 0.02% | 0.05% | Per official announcement |
Three things people trip over:
- The futures taker fee is 2.5× the maker fee. Every market order is a taker order. At the same notional, someone who works limit orders can pay around 40% of what a market-order trader pays.
- Gate has more than one discount channel. Referral discounts, GT deduction and VIP tiers stack, so the rate actually charged is often below list. Our per-trade Gate detail shows exactly that: the same account on the same contract is not always charged at the same effective rate from one day to the next. The rebate is calculated on what you actually paid, not on the list rate.
- VIP tiers are separate. Hitting a 30-day volume or GT-holding threshold lowers your rates independently of the rebate.
The table reflects VIP 0 list pricing as of August 2026 and Gate may change it; for current rates see the official Gate fee page.
How much can you get back? (tiers and rates)
The extra rebate rate is set by your tier, and your tier is set by XP — where XP is simply the fees you have paid in the last 30 days, in USDT. Pay 500 USDT in fees and you have 500 XP. No conversion.
About "Supernova": the top Supernova tier (70% combined on Gate) cannot be reached by trading volume. It is invitation-only, reserved for accounts of a certain size, and arranged case by case. The highest tier you can trade your way into is SVIP, at 65% combined.
What does that actually save you? Five worked examples
The most important point first: you do not need to be a big trader for our code to be worth using. Any other referral code gives you Layer 1 — that 20%. Through Quant Nova, entry-level Lv.1 is already 60%: same trades, same fees, three times as much back. This is the widest gap of the eight exchanges on this site (WEEX matches it).
| Channel | Combined Gate rebate | Relative |
| A typical referral code / KOL | 20% | baseline |
| Quant Nova · Lv.1 (no threshold) | 60% | 3× |
| Quant Nova · SVIP | 65% | 3.25× |
Volume matters second: as your tier rises, the rate rises with it. Because XP is the fee amount itself, "how much you paid in fees this month" determines both which tier you are in and how much you get back:
| Monthly fees (= XP) | Tier | Combined rate | Returned that month | Equivalent futures notional |
| 100 USDT | Lv.2 | 61% | 61 USDT | ~200,000 USDT |
| 500 USDT | Lv.3 | 62% | 310 USDT | ~1m USDT |
| 1,000 USDT | Lv.4 | 63% | 630 USDT | ~2m USDT |
| 2,500 USDT | Lv.5 | 64% | 1,600 USDT | ~5m USDT |
| 5,000 USDT | SVIP | 65% | 3,250 USDT | ~10m USDT |
The notional column is back-solved from the 0.05% futures taker rate. Posting limit orders (0.02% maker) needs 2.5× the notional for the same fee total. Spot (0.1%) needs half the futures-taker notional.
This table is a ceiling, not a promise. It assumes you were already in that tier for the whole month. In reality the rate is applied per fill, at the tier you were in when the fee was generated, so fees paid before you levelled up are rebated at the lower rate. Your first month comes in under the table; it converges once you settle into a tier.
One more thing: tiers look at a rolling 30-day XP window, not a lifetime total. Go quiet for a month and your tier drops.
Gate registration steps and how to bind your UID
New users, follow this order. If you already have a Gate account, skip to the rebinding section.
Step 1: register with the referral code
Register through the link on this site, or type QUANTXXX into the referral-code field at signup. Not NOVA888 — Gate is one of only two exchanges here that use a different code (MEXC is the other, mexc-NOVA888), and the wrong code is the same as no code. This step decides your Layer 1 20% auto rebate, and it cannot be added or changed after the account is open.
Step 2: complete KYC
Accounts without KYC are feature-limited and cannot generate a calculable rebate. Usually minutes to a day.
Step 3: find your Gate UID
Log in, click your avatar in the top right — the UID is a plain string of digits under your account name. It is the only thing binding requires: no API key, no password.
Step 4: bind the UID on the rebate site
Go to the Quant Nova rebate dashboard, choose Gate, paste the UID and submit. We reconcile it against the invitee list the exchange reports to us, and it goes live once matched.
Step 5: trade, then check the books
From then on your daily fees, rebates, XP and tier post automatically, visible in near-real time, withdrawable at any time.
When does the rebate arrive?
How long is the "later" in "charged first, returned later"? The actual timeline:
| Point in time | What happens |
| At the trade | Gate charges the fee |
| Around T+1 | The exchange produces the previous day's trade and commission detail |
| After it lands | We import it, match each row to your UID, compute rebate and XP |
| After posting | Your rebate-site balance increases; visible and withdrawable |
That path describes the Layer 2 extra rebate. The Layer 1 20% travels through Gate's own plumbing and follows different rules:
| Item | Gate's official 20% (Layer 1) | Quant Nova extra rebate (Layer 2) |
| Who pays it | Gate, no application needed | Quant Nova |
| Where it lands | Your Gate account | Your Quant Nova rebate balance |
| Settlement cycle and currency | Per Gate's own rules — see the link below | Denominated in USDT, around T+1 |
| Where to check | Gate account statement / referral records | The rebate dashboard, row by row |
Layer 1's settlement cycle, currency and payout route are Gate's to set and may change; see the Gate referral FAQ. Two details that catch people out:
- Only trades that actually generate a fee count. A trade with no fee produces no rebate and no volume credit.
- The two amounts live in different places. The official 20% goes to your Gate account; the extra rebate goes to your rebate-site balance. If one looks missing, check which side you are looking at.
Already have a Gate account? Rebind to claim rebates
A Gate referral code can only be entered at signup. After the account exists it cannot be added and the referrer cannot be changed. Existing users have to "rebind" the account to QUANTXXX. For the full conditions, steps and risks see the Gate rebinding guide.
Five mistakes people make
- Entering NOVA888. That is the code for Binance, OKX, Bitget and Bybit. Gate takes QUANTXXX; the wrong code is the same as no code, and it cannot be undone.
- Expecting the order-ticket fee to drop. The rebate does not change the displayed rate — GT deduction and VIP tiers do, and those are a different mechanism.
- Binding the wrong UID. The UID is a numeric account ID — not a nickname, not an email. Sub-account commission rolls up to the master account's UID, so binding the master account is enough.
- Assuming tiers are permanent. XP is a rolling 30-day figure; stop trading and you drop a tier.
- Treating the two layers as one payment. The official 20% goes to the exchange account, the extra rebate to the rebate-site balance. Check them separately.
How is this different from a KOL or another rebate site?
What you usually see advertised is a "20% fee discount" — that is Layer 1, the auto rebate. But whether you get that 20% at all is the referrer's setting, and many codes simply have it switched off, so every cent of your fee becomes their commission. Four things separate the offers:
- Whether Layer 1 actually reaches you. With QUANTXXX that 20% always lands in your account. Some codes are set to 0% and you get nothing.
- Whether Layer 2 is shared. We share it, and on Gate that layer is tied with WEEX for the thickest of the eight, at a published rate that scales with the tier table above.
- Whether the books are auditable. Every fee, every rebate, every XP and tier change is listed row by row — not one number at month end.
- Whether you can get it out. The balance is withdrawable at any time, with no minimum-threshold lockup.

FAQ
What is Gate's referral code?
It is QUANTXXX. Binance, OKX, Bitget and Bybit use NOVA888, WEEX uses lowercase nova888 and MEXC uses mexc-NOVA888 — Gate is QUANTXXX, so do not mix them up at signup or when rebinding.
What is the maximum Gate rebate?
The highest tier reachable by trading is SVIP at 65% combined (20% auto + 45% extra). The 70% on the table is the invitation-only Supernova tier, arranged separately — not granted automatically by hitting a volume target.
Why is Gate's rebate so much higher than the other exchanges?
Because Gate's affiliate share is itself higher than elsewhere, and we pass the difference down. That is also why the same amount of fees returns the most absolute value on Gate.
When is the Gate rebate paid?
The official 20% is returned to your exchange account under Gate's own rules. The extra rebate is imported, matched and posted to your rebate-site balance after the exchange's daily report, typically from T+1 onwards.
Is this safe? Can you touch my assets?
Binding needs only your UID — no API key, no password, no withdrawal permission. Your assets stay in your own Gate account; the rebate site neither custodies nor can move them.
I signed up without a code. Can I still get rebates?
Yes, but through rebinding, not by adding the code. See the rebinding guide.
Does GT deduction reduce my rebate?
The absolute amount falls, because the rebate is calculated on what you actually paid. Your total cost is still lower: a discount first, then more than 60% of the remainder back, beats no discount at all.
Is the rebate rate the same for spot and futures?
The rate is the same, but the underlying fee rates differ a lot (spot 0.1%, futures taker 0.05%), so the same notional generates different rebate amounts.
What is XP and how is it calculated?
XP is the fees you have paid over the last 30 days, in USDT. 1 USDT of fees = 1 XP. It sets your tier, which sets your extra rebate rate. See How rebate tiers and XP work.
Can my tier go down?
Yes. XP is a rolling 30-day figure, not a lifetime total. Stop trading for a while and the tier falls. That said, even at the lowest Lv.1, Gate still pays 60% combined — three times the 20% that the best outside referral code can offer — and plenty of those codes are set to 0% and return nothing at all.
Is there a minimum withdrawal threshold?
There is no lockup. The balance accrues on the rebate site and can be withdrawn whenever you like.
Do sub-account fees count?
Yes. Sub-account trading commission is attributed to the master account's UID — that is how the exchange's commission report is structured. Bind the master account UID and everything your sub-accounts generate is included, with no separate binding needed.
